Auto Refresh on incoming emails

Auto-refresh of Comms on Work Item Screen

When a Service Agent has a work item screen open and is simultaneously working on another software or client software, the communications displayed on the work item comms tab remain as they were when the screen was initially loaded. This means that any new communications or updates to the work item are not automatically reflected on the screen.
To view the latest communications, the user manually refreshes the work item. This can be problematic as user might be unaware that new information has been received, which is particularly likely if notifications are turned off. As a result, important updates may be missed, potentially delaying responses or actions on the work item.
To improve this process, the expectation is that when a work item screen is open, Enate should automatically refresh the screen whenever new communication arrives. Additionally, a sound alert should be generated to notify the user of the new communication. This would ensure that users are immediately aware of any updates and can take prompt action without needing to manually refresh the screen.

Harsh Seksaria is new info received not turned ON for these emails?

Hi Kamal Saran, the notifications are turned on, but while a work item screen is open, a user still needs to refresh to see the mail which is an extra click.
Following this, as soon as a new email comes, it can generate a sound to catch user attention. This also applies to browser notifications. https://feedback.enate.net/feature-request/p/browser-pop-up-notifications-should-include-sound-alert
*Can this potentially be done by new UI design?

Hiya Harsh Seksaria, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on how frequently you would like the screen to auto-refresh?
- Would you prefer the sound alert to be customizable or a standard notification sound?
- Are there any specific types of updates or communications that you would like to be prioritized in the auto-refresh and notification system?

Hi Claudine Richardson,
- The auto-refresh should happen to comms section on receipt of any new email. Refreshing the whole screen may not be a good idea as users might have unsaved changes such as notes or editing record count/contacts/defects.
- Standard sound would work.
- Emails and notes.
