Work Items Being Created Incorrectly from Incoming Reply Emails

Sometimes incoming reply emails cause work items to be created incorrectly, e.g. when people start collaborating on an email thread either before the “ticket acknowledgement email” is received, such as when the reply comes from another recipient of the original email or when they edit the TO address to drop the plus address or packet references. The work items then need to be merged by Service Agents, taking time and effort.
