Edit/re-open a cancelled email

When cancelling a sent email, it would be better if there was the option to ‘pause and amend’ the sending of an email rather than the current option to ‘cancel’ it.
Ideally if a user thinks they sent an email incorrectly they would want to pause, check the email, amend content or recipients and then hit send again. The current ‘cancel’ option is very limited in that it just completely cancels the email and the user needs to start again, no ability to amend or resend.
It would less hassle if we could edit the cancelled email or re-worked/re-opened the email.

Hey Amber Hayes, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide more details on the frequency of this issue? How often do users need to cancel and amend their emails?
- Are there specific parts of the email (subject, body, recipients) that users most frequently need to amend?
- What is the typical time frame between when an email is sent and when a user realizes they need to make amendments?

- we do not have the data so i cannot provide more details on the frequency of this use. You could check to see if this is possible to see from the Enate data warehouse
- Again I do not have the data so it is hard to say, I would guess recipients but I would think users need to ammend the subject line and body of the email at times too
- Again I do not have the data, I would guess no more than 2mins

Hi, Juan Cano cancelled email content is not lost. You can find these emails under the comms timeline. Please check filters, may be cancelled items are hidden in filters. In future, we can improve this one so that when you click on cancel it will take you to your email edit screen and you can make further amendments before sending it again or discard it completely.
