Hi All,
This is not possible technically with a web application as the browser does not have information about the desktop state.
If you want to stop the time tracker in the enate inactivity then I will suggest that the ‘auto logout’ function in the Enate should be used. If you configure auto-logout as 30 mins then Enate will automatically log out the users from the system after 30 mins of inactivity and the time tracker will be stopped.
To refind it a little bit more, we could add a warning message to end users when their recorded time is far away from the expected time. For example, If I went away for lunch and for some reason recorded time is 2 hrs on a task where the expected time was 30 mins then Enate will warn me when I submit this work. Some kind of message– “Looks like recorded time 2hrs is far more than expected time 30 mins, do you want to edit it before submit ?”. a quick way to edit the time on the same pop up so they don’t need to go timer card for that at all.
Please share your view on the above ideas and let me know what should be our threshold for warning messages. I am thinking whenever the recorded time is >120% of the expected time then show this warning message.
Thanks,
Kamal
