Contacts to have multiple customers associated to and not considered as GLOBAL

As a user, I have a contact which interacts with multiple companies and I am aware what companies are associated with it. So by leaving the contact to GLOBAL scope allows the contact to be visible under unwanted customers too, so I would like to have an option to have a contact be associated with not just one but few more and they are not GLOBAL scoped

Ability to select multiple companies for an External contact

As a business user, I need the ability to select multiple companies for a single external contact.
This is important because some external users are involved in different processes across various companies. I do not want to grant them "All Companies/Global" access, but I need the flexibility to associate them with the relevant companies they interact with.

Please use the child/parent company feature for it. We are not planning to add multiple customers for a single contact. I would like to understand what the real scenario is where completely different companies will employ a person.

Kamal Saran We could have within an office a client that operates as a cluster, so is disaggregated into multiple legal entities for better tracking and monitoring evidence for compliance in a better way but the information comes from a single point from the client side.
Can we please reopen this and explore the option again?

Hiya Saumya Dubey, thanks for this post! I have a few more questions for you:
- How frequently do external contacts need to be associated with multiple companies?
- Are there specific roles or permissions that should be considered when associating an external contact with multiple companies?
- Can you provide examples of scenarios where an external contact interacts with multiple companies?

Hey Navaneeth Kumar S, thanks for your feedback! I have a few more questions for you:
- Can you provide examples of scenarios where a contact is associated with multiple companies?
- How do you envision managing the visibility of contacts across different companies?
- What specific criteria should determine which companies a contact is associated with?

- When it is a Auditor, who is discussing on behalf of several customers
- Option to select from a drop down
- Local offices to determine this and have the option to add more companies in scope to existing contact
