Auto prompt for entering lapsed dates for future periods in schedule

As a user, when resuming the schedule I would like to be prompted if my schedule contains any date (for future periods) that has already passed. Enate should not block me from resuming (because entering lapsed date can be intentional), only to check with me if I still want to proceed.
